BlueLetterBible.org Script tagger

  1. Great script tagger ref. plugin for bible verses....What Does It Do?

"The "BLB ScriptTagger" is a free tool that you can integrate into your website or blog to automatically create a hover-over display for all Bible references on the page. The hover-over reveals the verse text and provides a link for further study at the Blue Letter Bible website.
It is most up to date free complete bible reference site, and this is new tool for free to us on all those blogs that quote a bible verse"...But saving word space and giving accurate information from bible at finger tip...well actually cursor arrow. ; ) See wordPress plugin available at top of page! http://www.blueletterbible.org/freeoffer/BLB_ScriptTagger/#install02

The blog I need help with is equippingthesaintsblog.wordpress.com.

  2. It's a JavaScript widget and cannot be used on free hosted WordPress.com blogs for security reasons. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/#javascript

  3. I also noticed a request for Reftagger. it is a similar product to use, but I do not see it available to add on a widget on my blog either? I would use either one.
But how? http://reftagger.com/ Is it same issue with Java???

  4. You cannot use it.

  5. I see Reftagger works on WordPress.org... How about .com?? Sorry I'm not that computer literate, so I may ask dumb questions. Forgive my ignorance.... I really do not like ignorance. But I'm open to learning. ; )

  6. I actually hate ignorance.. That is reason I like the ref tagging ! Can someone please make it work! If I pay for custom upgrade does it work????

  7. WordPress.com and WordPress.org do not run on exactly the same software. WordPress.org blogs are free standing. The only security threat frm a plugin or bad script is to a single site. WordPress.com is multiuser blogging platform. Our blogs are not free standing. They share a common architecture. A single instance of a bad plugin or bad script could bring down many blogs. Read the comparison here please > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

This is not a CSS editing issue at all. There is no FTP access to our free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers cannot install plugins.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

FTP access and plugins are only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs.

  8. Thanks I really appreciate your actually helping me to understand the issue. Now I am just disappointed. ...Greatly. But really I thank you.

  9. Thank you for having the patience to read what I posted and what was at the links so you understand our reality. Best wishes with your blog.
