All photos that I upload are blurry. What is causing this? They are sharp when uploaded, but once WordPress does its thing, they all look terrible.

Have you optimized and presized every image to fit the dimensions required by your theme offline, prior to uploading them to your blog? If you do not do that then the cropper comes into play and the image quality is lost as it has to stretch or scrunch the images so they fit. Here are some very useful troublehooting images tips.
