Bought New Theme - Need to Make Borders on Pics go away

    Hi, just purchased the Journalist v1.9 theme for our blog - love it so far. Just need some help with one feature. The pictures we have on our blog now have a blue border and we don't want the photos to have borders at all. I have seen on other users blogs, with this theme, have made the borders go away (or at least appear white). Is there a specific CSS code I need? Any feed back would be great.

    The blog I need help with is papercutindustriesblog.com.

  2. Since you say you "purchased" the theme, that leads me to believe you are self-hosted and the support site for self-hosted wordpress sites is at http://wordpress.ORG/support/

    Also, if you purchased a theme, the theme designer will typically provide support for it, so you really ought to be talking with them on that.

  3. Journalist v1.9 is a free theme available to all free hosted WordPress.COM bloggers. See here. THe version of the theme you have purchased is for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software and it cannot be used here. We run on different software and CSS editing here is theme specific. You cannot use style sheets from elsewhere.

    There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins or any themes into them The themes found on the internet are for wordpress.ORG installs which run on different software.

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/

    On free hosted wordpress.COM blogs we can only use the themes which have been coded to run on this multi-user software and made available to us here. > Appearance > Themes and no others. We cannot edit either themes or templates on free hosted wordpress.COM blogs. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/editing-themes/

    Please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question.

    Excuse me - I misspoke. I'm a rather new blogger. We do have a .com and our theme was free - but we just purchased an upgraded typekit.

    So now that this brings us full circle and I am in the "right community" for my needs - maybe I can get some easy help. Thanks.

  5. Thanks for the update. Please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question.

  7. This will get rid of the borders on the images.

    .main a img {
    border: medium none;
    }
  8. Actually, add the following as well since there is a "hover" border declared also.

    .main a:hover img {
    border: 2px solid #CA0002;
    }

    Thank you - you have helped resolve the issue.

    Glad I found the correct place to seek help for issues with our blog.

    Have a great day.

  10. You are welcome.

  11. And I saw I made a mistake on my second bit of code (forgot to edit it). Use this instead.

    .main a:hover img {
    border: medium none;
    }
