Breaking captions into two lines

  1. Hi all - I'm trying to break a caption into two lines. Right now only have the draft ready. I can manually break the line by just hitting return, as well as inserting a
tag. Looks ok on the draft. But when I preview, it all goes back to a single line. Any way I can do that? Would like to keep the caption within the caption frame rather than just outside the photo.

Alternate - add a block of space between the ending of one line and the beginning of another?

Thanks for any help or guidance!

  2. Hi panaghiotisadam:

I did read the earlier post before I put up the post of my own. But I didn't dig deep enough - on second reading at your suggestion, I then went back into the original source code and pasted that into my editor. I was able to then break the line with no problem.

Thanks for your quick response - and also for pointing me out to linking my name to my blog. Thought I had already accomplished that...

    - Jeff

  3. You're welcome. But long captions break into lines automatically if you don't mess with them, so you don't need to do all that. Except if you mean force a line break where you want it instead of where it happens by itself.

  4. Yep - they were two short lines...a description and then a copyright line. - J.
