I drafted a blogpost and when I preview it all of the breaks dissapeared (to seperate I inserted like 5 breaks in between two textparts of the entry) - this has never happened to me before - maybe I just misclicked at a setting or so ...
Hopefully you can understand my problem :)
The blog I need help with is skww.wordpress.com.
I also tried to go to html editing mode and enter the
tags - same issue :)

unless you specifically trying to force a space (after an image ,for example) you really don't need to type the
<br />
at wordpress.com in the editor.
When typing in the editor in either mode: you press (ENTER) to break to the next line
or (SHIFT)+(ENTER) if you wish to skip a line (example: between paragraphs).
if you are pasting text from somewhere else that had the (BR /) tag in it, its still there, its just not visible and acts as if you had typed (ENTER).
I hope that clarifies.
