buddy press and forums

  1. Hello
I thought a good way to learn to use wordpress to build a website would be to sign up for wordpress.com, as i do not know php and will be learning as i go. But it seems all the functionality I want to add to the site (buddypress, forums, etc) is only available at wordpress.org. Is this true? I just bought a 99 dollar package when signing up, would this be transferable to wordpress.org? If so, I would just as soon do that. Blogging is great, but my plans are a bit more robust.
Please advise if you can, and many thanks for helping a newbie :)

The blog I need help with is oneworldp.com.

Yes it's true. See here and read carefully > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  3. I just bought a 99 dollar package when signing up, would this be transferable to wordpress.org?

No it's not transferabele. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate. See here please > Canceling a Bundle > http://en.support.wordpress.com/bundles/#canceling-a-bundle
