Buying a package using a purchase order

  1. I wish to create a new blog for a third party who wishes to purchase a word press business package using a purchase order and paying via bank transfer rather than using a credit card. Can this be done and please can you supply payment details?

The blog I need help with is johncarr555.wordpress.com.

  2. I'm sorry but that's not possible. All upgrades must be paid for at the time of purchase by the blog's owner and original Admin who registered the blog in question. No purchase orders can be used. After that purchase is made the blog's owner can go to > Dashboard > Store > Billing History is where they can print out their own receipt.

Below are the only accepted means of payment.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/payment/

WordPress.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/

If for whatever reason, they have chosen to block payment from your country, you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country.

In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.

The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it's a debit card.

    More about echecks here:
    https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/helpcenter/article/?solutionId=13054&topicID=11500008&m=TCI

WordPress.com also accept Bitcoin for payment of certain upgrades http://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=bitcoin

Note: You can buy a prepaid credit card from an approved country or pay in Bitcoin.

  3. Every blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the username account who registered the blog under that username account and associated email address. No matter how many blogs are created under any username account there will be only one gravatar and one primary blog that can be linked to that username.

The blog's owner can transfer ownership to another username account. You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased upgrades to renew them or transfer the blogs and the upgrades to another username account.

To transfer a blog from one username account A to another username account B you must first log in under the username account A that owns the blog you want to transfer to the other username account.

Then you add the other username account B as an Admin of the blog.
    adding users http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/
    user roles http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

Then you A can use this process to transfer the blog to that username account B instead http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

  4. Thanks, I've found the entry on a self help page, and it seems payment is not accepted through purchase order.

  5. and I've also just read timethief's entries. Thank you!
It will be a completely fresh start blog, I'll have a different hat on, so to speak. Although similar to the blog I've been tinkering with. Thanks again

  6. Do know that deleting any blog URL here is permanent and irreversible. You cannot recover or register any deleted blog URL. Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

  7. Timethief , I've just found your blog, I expect I'll be popping back from time to time for a steer every now and again.....OK quite a lot at first. Thanks

  8. If the client wants that URL do not delete the blog. Instead use the transfer a blog process.

P.S. Welcome to my blog. :)

  9. Thank you.

  10. You're welcome.
