1. I went to check out my dashboard. There is a domain tab. But there is not any feature to allow me to say purchase a domain form wordpress.
2. I have bought a domain through google domain. http://www.charliebrown8989.net can I use this to map with my site http://charliebrown8989.wordpress.com ??

you just have to pony up the $10 to map an existing domain, and point the nameservers for your domain to NS1.wordpress.com and NS2.wordpress.com
I still do not understand whether I can buy a domain directly from WordPress. When I add a domain, I do not see any possibility for doing that. Is this correct?

You can not just buy a domain seperately from wordpress. You have to buy the domain plus the domain hosting at the $15 price point.

if you go to Options > Domains, and fill in a domain name, it will take you through the steps of purchasing the domain.
I just did the domain thing...I added all three name servers... ns1.wordpress.com ns2...and ns3....
so I went to http://www.adsexpress.org and guess what happens...NOTHING! It doesnt load anything...I confused!!
working now?
these things take 24-48 hours to propagate around the international name servers.

yea, just so you know, my site has been suspended. I did not use any advertisements on my site It doesnt allow you to anyawys. If it was indeed canceld for advertsisement reasons then it was a missunderstanding.
Well, I ued to have http://www.sellmaster.wordpress.com I payed 10 dollars for 10 credits so I can purchase the domain feature, not mentioning buying the domain. And then a day later they suspend it. Why? I dont know. I didnt even get an e-mail stating why.
