    Hi,

I wish to add a lilypie birthday ticker on my blog. May I do this? If so, how?

    Thanks

  2. You need to show us the code; if it has javascript, embeds, flash or forms in it, it'll probably be stripped out, but there's always a chance. Post the code it tells you to put in the blog here, but put it between backticks, those apostrophe-like things on the extreme top left of your keyboard. That way you can post the code here and it won't get stripped; we can then examine it.

  3. There's a couple of threads currently on providing a countdown widget. We've been suggesting feedback and making this suggestion.

But a copy of the code you're trying to add in would help. Or at least a link to the site you're looking at.

    The site is at http://lilypie.com/index.html
I created a test one and the code was html

    `<img src="http://bd.lilypie.com/WmM3m7.png" alt="Lilypie Expecting a baby Ticker" border="0" width="400" height="80" />'

I think the answer to this question may be "yes".

  5. I hope it does work. I need to put up a countdown for HP7 up on my blog. :)

There are a few codes provided by Lilypie. An html code, a pseudo html, ubb or bb code; and an ezcode.

    The html code is: <a href="http://lilypie.com"><img src="http://lilypie.com/pic/070424/nvp1.jpg" alt="Lilypie 2nd Birthday Pic" width="100" height="80" border="0" /><img src="http://b2.lilypie.com/9IwAp8.png" alt="Lilypie 2nd Birthday Ticker" border="0" width="400" height="80" /></a>

    The pseudohtml code is: [url=http://lilypie.com][img]http://lilypie.com/pic/070424/nvp1.jpg[/img][img]http://b2.lilypie.com/9IwAp8/.png[/img][/url]

Kindly bear with me as I'm new to blogging :)

Which of the above code do I use on my blog, and how do I do it?

  8. The one on top should work fine. The bottom one is what's called bbcode which is usually used on forum sites.

  9. I need to put up a countdown for HP7 up on my blog. :)
Way ahead of you there. Countdown ;)

The html code should work I think. Have you tried it? :)

Can I put the ticker on my header?

  11. No, headers aren't dynamic.

My understanding is: I couldn't put the lilypie ticker on my header, and
could only put the said ticker on a post. Is this correct?

  13. It will not fit into text widget in the sidebar and it will not function in a header. It must be placed in either a post or a page. I recommend placing it on a page.

I just copied and pasted the code of the ticker on the page, but the image did not appear. Why is this and what should I do?

  15. You need to use the HTML editor, not the Visual editor, when you paste code. Go back and edit the post and click on the HTML tab on top of the Write box, then paste the code in there. That should work.
