Can I change h3 tag and font colors?

  1. Hi, I am terribly new to this so please frogive me if I ask anything obvious or silly.

I want to be able to place a h2 or h3 tag at the start of some of my posts so that I can effectively add a continuation or extention of the post tilte and do so using the same colour as my post titles.

Is this possible and how do I do it?

I would also like to highlight certain words by changing the font color of that individual word within the text. Is this possible and easily achieved - remembering I am a complete beginner?

    my blog address is http://www.voicesofglass@wordpress,com

    Many thanks

The blog I need help with is voicesofglass.com.

  2. I know you can highlight and change font colors by expanding your kitchen sink... i.e. you add a new post look at the tool bar for that post (the tool bar between the title and space you type in the post) and scrool over them till you see the one that says "show/hide kitchen sink" it is on the far right. Click that and it shows the options for the font to make it bold or chnage the colors.

This is waht seasonsgirl refers to. These are 3 ways to change fonts on wordpress.com blogs.

    (1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the HTML editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/

    (2) Changing font colors in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page using the #4 icon (Select text color – change the text color) in Row 2 the Visual editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2

    (3) Changing all font families, colors and sizes throughout the whole blog by purchasing an annually renewable Custom Design upgrade and using Typekit Fonts with Staff support. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/

Note: A few themes do provide for changing font color in the Blog Title and/or optional Tagline and/or links. In the majority of themes font changes to font families, colors and size in the blog title, tagline, menu, post titles, page titles, categories and tags, widget headings, comments, and links cannot be done without CSS editing.

There are many Chateau CSS editing threads on changing font colors threoughout the blog. Perhaps you can find your answer by searching them. while you are waiting for Staff help. > http://tinyurl.com/6lulcnl

  4. Hi both.

That information was invaluable to me. Thank you both so very much for your kindness and taking time to answer my question and to do so as promptly as you have.

    Kind Regards,

    Kevin.

  5. You're welcome Kevin. :)
