I like my present theme, but if I do want to change it, can I and if so how?

Can I change my theme?
Dashboard > Appearance > Themes
Just click any the image for a preview of what your blog would look like with the theme if you like it just click activate and re-add your widgets. :)

Note that when you change themes all your widgets will migrate into the Inactive Widgets box. What will display will be just a sidebar display and not actual widgets. Go here > Appearance > Widgets after the theme change and place them in the sidebar and/or footer areas wherever you want them.
Thanks timethief but as I use an iPad I cannot place widgets into my blog. At least I don't think I can.
I want to change my theme and when i choose the one i want (new one) there is not the activate button to press- anyone know what i should do to get it to come up?

How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.
Are you using http:// or https:// see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
Which browser and version of it are you using? Have your tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
Is your browser version up to date? You can upgrade any browser version here.
Do you have third party cookies enabled?
Do you have another browser you can try?

Have you had any recent operating system or security updates?
