Can I change the red in the Neo-Sapien theme? St. Patty's day fun!

  1. Hi all,

I wantedot show a little St. Patty's day fun tomorrow and change the default red bar across the top of my blog to green. Does anyone know if it can be done and if so, the test to do so?

    TIA.

    Gary

The blog I need help with is lacrosseinsidethegame.com.

  2. Sorry but there are no free push a button change a color options on wordpress.com blogs. You cannot change that broad red band to green without purchasing a CSS upgrade and doing the work yourself.

  3. Sorry I should have explained, I do have the upgrade, I was looking for the code.

    Sorry about that.

  4. If you choose to purchase the CSS upgrade and do the editing then the Volunteer who helps with CSS has a post that you may wish to read http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/if-you-have-the-wp-com-css-upgrade/

Re: the test to do so?
There is a "Preview" function for viewing CSS changes without affecting the display your readers see
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/editing-css/

  5. All CSS editing at wordpress.com is theme specific. it's not a matter of simply whacking in a block of code because "one size (code) does not fit all" here. That means you actually have to have a moderate knowledge of both HTML and CSS and how to use them together and the skill to do the work on your own.

  6. thanks I read that already too, but could not see any specifics in it to change the color across the top.

  7. That's where educating yourself by use of CSS tutorials comes into play. You will find resources in the support documentation and also in the CSS customization forum.
