Can I l Blogger to my wordpress site so I can have advertising on the blog part?

  1. I want to put my blog on Blogher.com and have advertising, can I put a link to a Blogger blog on my site so I can put the advertising just on the Blogger site instead but still have the rest of my website on wordpress?

The blog I need help with is alignbykate.wordpress.com.

  2. A link, yes. But staff will delete blogs here that they think exist only to drive traffic to somewhere else, like Blogger.

  3. hmm, that's interesting. because i love wordpress and the site i've been designing all week really with the purpose of making some money off of it hopefully with some ads and being featured on sites like blogher and networked blogs. is there no way to try to have you wordpress blog make money?

  4. There is, but if making money is your objective, you're far, far better off with a site hosted elsewhere and WordPress.ORG software, not WordPress.com. Here you are limited to the Word Ads program, which is not lucrative.

  5. oh great, thanks. so i did that and transferred everything to wordpress.org. the only problem is that now my header and the bar with all of the pages look different. i like the original layout, fonts, etc better. i have no idea how to make it look exactly the same. is there a way to do that? i simply exported from wordpress.com and imported to wordpress.org.

  6. actually what i'm realizing is that i want to use the FOREVER theme which i was using on wordpress.com but for some reason on wordpress.org it's the twenty eleven theme. how do i change that?

  7. how do i change that?

See below for the boilerplate on how to fix it:

The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.

This site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/
