Can I Make Different Post Types Publish to Home Page AND Another Select Page?

  1. I am going to be writing about a variety of topics on my blog, and I'd while I'd like to have all of the posts publish to the main page, I have several separate pages and would like the option to send a post to also publish in another page depending on the topic. So for example I may want one post to publish to home page and "page 1" but then another post go to home page and "page 2." Is this even possible? I've only seen a option for a static home page but then all posts on another page, but no option to send different posts to different pages.

The blog I need help with is pillarheights.wordpress.com.

  2. Static Pages and dynamic Category Pages are not the same. The former cannot automatically update but the latter do.

By default the front page of the blog is the post that displays all posts in your blog. Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts (not pages) http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page.

We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic categories pages into the custom menu.
