Can I stop new posts from appearing in my follower's blog readers?

    I'm still in the process of tweaking my blog after importing it from Typepad. Not all of the posts migrated so I'm having to copy and paste some. Inserting them into the correct time in my blog isn't a problem, but they show up in blog readers which looks confusing. Also, I have quite a few to do as a two month chunk is missing from last year and I don't want to flood my follower's readers.
    I'm resigned to losing the comments on these posts, unless anyone knows a simple way to move those too, but if there's a way to stop the posts appearing in readers, I'd be grateful for the info.

    I believe your only recourse may be to set the blog to "private" while you work on it and then set it back to "public". .

    Thanks! That'd work. I'd only need to make it private while I was actually publishing the old posts, wouldn't I?
    Then just switch it back to public?

    Just tested that and it works great. I can draft save several and then just go private for as long as it takes to publish them.
