Is it possible to transfer (Export) names from Feedburner email subscriptions into WordPress so I only have one list to manage?
Can I add a subscriber as the administrator or must the subscriber do so themselves?
The blog I need help with is auroracitizen.ca.
The subscribers need to do the change themselves - that is done to prevent the emailing program from being used as a spam bot - your subscribers need to click also on the "I want to subscribe" button (I think all systems have them) - there is not the ability to cut and paste based on my reading the threads in the Forum -
I don't know if there is some sort of half workaround or not - if you pasted a name into the new emailer that would generate an unsolicited email that is real illegal in many areas -
Personally I would stick with feedburner. There is plain HTML code that is further down on their email subscription page that will work here (the top javascript code will not work). For your existing account all you have to do is change the URL of your feed to the one here and burn it again.
If you move everyone over here and then end up moving again, you have the same problem all over again. With feedburner being outside of wordpress, that means that that part of things will not change for your subscribers.
