This issue is related to the blog at simchafisher.wordpress.com.
I am in the process of transferring the blog from a free wordpress.com account to a self-hosted WordPress site. I am planning to use the JetPack plugin to allow users to continue to subscribe, both via wordpress.com and via email.
I have noted that the wordpress.com dashboard will allow me to get a list of my subscribers, both those who subscribe via wordpress.com and those who subscribe via email. However, I can see no way to use JetPack to import subscribers.
I understand, from reading discussions in forums elsewhere, that this feature could potentially be a liability, since it could be used by spammers. But I'd still hate to lose all those subscribers.
According to a user in this forum: (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/importing-wordpresscom-followers), wordpress.com staff might be able to complete this process for me. Is this a possibility?
I'm a developer by trade, so I have experience with PHP, SQL, etc., but couldn't find a way to do this by myself.
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is simchafisher.wordpress.com.
