Don't know if you can host at Godaddy - that is between you and Godaddy -
If you are hosted at Godaddy you will be under the Terms of Service of Godaddy and not WordPress.COM - all hosts have some TOS - I would expect AdSense to be fine on Godaddy
Hosting at Godaddy is more work than here - you need to do your own software upgrades etc - the staff has been doing all those things for you here
Make friends at WordPress.ORG http://wordpress.org/ to get a better feel for what it takes to host at Godaddy
