can not upload an image

  1. I am using Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.4 on a Mac iBook G4. I am trying to upload a .jpg image which is 12KB but can not.

I have read the FAQ and forum discussions on this topic but can not find a resolution. The FAQ screenplay on how to upload an image states that once you select 'Open', or 'Select' for Mac users, the file name will be shown in the Add Image box with some additional options. For me only the file name is shown but there are no other options and subsequently my browser crashes.

  2. Have you done the cookie dance? Log out, clear browser cache and cookies, restart.

  3. I did the cookie dance.

Now I get an error message "An error occurred in the upload. Please try again late (Error #2038)"???

  4. @hanna, make sure you are using the latest version of flash. Go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/ and download and install it into your browser. The uploader uses flash, and if you don't have the latest version it can cause issues.

I would also suggest upgrading to at least Firefox 2.0.0.16. It has improved security and I had no problems with it on my Mac with WordPress.

  5. Here is the link to Mozilla to download Firefox 2.0.0.16: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html .

I am having the same problem and it happened overnight. Have been using Flash upload since I started blogging. Have upgraded to the latest flash but problem persist. I have cleared my cache as well. No choice but to use Browser upload. Sigh.
