Can word press work with Mozilla Firefox internet browser

  1. Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knew or uses mozilla firefox internet browser with their wordpress blog and whether there are any problems with it? I am having downloading issues with Internet Explorer 9 and some people have told me Firefox is better and I am considering switching over, but I didn't know if I downloaded firefox if that would pose a problem with my blog or not? Also, if I download Firefox would I still be able to go back and use the internet explorer 9 if I wanted to or not? I am just wondering if the firefox would simply create another icon on my desktop and when I turned on my computer I could choose which browser to use, or is that not the way it works? My computer knowledge is very basic, so forgive me if these sound like dumb questions.

The blog I need help with is scopophiliamovieblog.com.

  2. Firefox works fine with WP.com; in fact, it creates fewer problems than IE. Install it and then if you don't like it, just go back to IE. When you install it, you will be able to use either it or IE, whichever you want.

  3. Thanks for your timely response raincoaster it was very helpful. I take it the downloading process isn't too long or complicated?

  4. I've been trying to activate my blog for about 3 days. I'm definitely having issues with FF and IE. I kept trying to send the activation link to my email account on FF without success. I switched to IE and got the link no problem.

Trying to set things up for the Blog in IE and photos are loading weird for the background etc., and then when you try to click on the customise 'try now' link - nothing happens. Happy to hand over thirty dollars for extra features - but can I do it!

  5. Don't buy any upgrades for at least a week after you've got the blog working. You need to know what you can do without upgrades to make the choice to buy meaningful. The ONLY upgrade I recommend to everyone is the Custom Domain upgrade.

  6. You should try Google Chrome browser. I've been using that for the past few weeks and haven't had any issues nor the problems that I was having with IE.
