Can WordPress Be Used For My Site

  1. Hi guys,

I'm new to wordpress and just have a question about how it can be used?

I have been given the task of creating a website that sells insurance for Hairdressers. I'm thinking of using WordPress because it'll provide a nice backend for my client to change the content, but also they'll be able to change themes of the site relatively easily.

My question is, the site is going to provide insurance quotes and have a login area where customers login to view their policy documents. Can WordPress be user for say the homepage/static parts of the site, then just include a 'Login' link that takes the user to a bespoke part of the site not controlled by WordPress?

    E.g.

WordPress site would be > http://www.mysite.com
Custom login are would be > http://www.mysite.com/login/

If I were to use WordPress like this, can I build my custom pages in a way they'd still use the template - so if it was updated the whole site would get updated?

    Any help is much appreciated
