Can you allow images to be entered in a Contact Form?

  1. I would like to allow the public to submit photos as well as comments to me. I would like to do this via a Contact Form, but when I try doing this, I find that I cannot paste in an image into the text box.

The blog I need help with is leweshistory.org.uk.

  2. It may not display the image, but I don't see why they can't include a link to one.

  3. Our website is about local history, so the person supplying an image usually can't link to the image online because they only have a physical photo or an old postcard.

Is there any way someone can "attach" an image, since what I receive via the form is an email?

  4. You can't attach anything - you only option is a link in the form or you can add a field / check box "I want to submit a picture" (to help you sort out why they are contacting you) and you can send them an email that they can attach a picture to when they reply.

I don't know if you can have something like Drop Box that you can send them some sort of access to that would be easy to upload to

  5. Thanks auxclass.

To the folks at WordPress.com - maybe this facility could go on your giant wish-list....?

  6. I agree qsfe8. This would be an unreal widget.
