Can you delete my imports from tumblr?

  1. Could you please cancel all my imports from tumblr? I misunderstood and my purpose was just to get my wordpress writings to tumblr and NOT my tumblr posts to wordpress. Im sorry for the inconvenience. I wish them delted and not be imported anymore. Thank you.

I only meant to it to import once. Now it is there twice and I have 5000+ posts. Could you delete the duplicates? If not just empty it and I'll sort it out from there.

    Thank you

  3. @snakerz: I can empty the contents of https://jparkbass.wordpress.com for you. Could you please confirm that you want to empty jparkbass.wordpress.com of all content, including posts, pages, media, and comments? Please respond that this is what you would like to do and that you understand that this action is non-reversible.

  4. Not exactly.
I'm asking if you can empty the contents of

    http://jparkbass.com/category/general-update/tumblr-feed/
The tumblr feed category leaving all other posts there.

  5. Hi, while we don't have an automated way to delete all posts from a certain category, what you can do is delete them in bulk.

To do this, go to your posts and filter on the "Tumblr Feed" category. You will see this: https://jparkbass.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?category_name=tumblr-feed

Then, click on "Screen Options" in the top right corner to expand it and change the number of posts to something high, e.g. 600, so that you'll have less pages to work with. Apply changes.

Then, select "Move to Trash" from "Bulk Actions" and repeat it several times to delete all the posts from the "Tumblr Feed". After that, you might want to empty Trash, as well.

I hope this helps - let me know if you have any more questions.

  6. I'm still having issues with this. I went into my wordpress and hit delete on the 'tumblr feed' category I created.

This moved all the 5000 posts into my general feed.

I have now done as you said before and selected to view 999 posts per page. Clicked on every post and when I went to bulk action it to trash it says there was an error. I have done this on more than one computer system and an iMac. Yet the error still appears and I still have every post that I wanted to get rid of. Anything that is not in the music category I don't need.

    Any suggestions?

This is the expected behavior, deleting a category deletes the category label, but not the posts in the category. I'm sorry there is not a way to undo deleting the category.

Sorry about this. I'm going to look into why you are getting the error. Just to be sure, could you please confirm that you'd like to delete all posts that are not labeled with "Music" category, and that you understand that this action cannot be reversed?

  8. Oh, yes please.

  9. As you requested, I deleted all posts not in the "Music" category. This leaves you with 23 published posts, with everything else in Trash (in case you need to restore something). I hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions!
