Can you empty my site for me?

Can you please empty my site so I can retry my import? My media attachments did not import correctly from a self-hosted install, and emptying pages of posts is too time-consuming.

The blog I need help with is hallmarkspiritclips.wordpress.com.

  2. Staff can assist with this and I tagged the thread so they will do that for you.

  3. I have emptied the blog as requested.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

Just for future reference, is this the right forum to request this kind of installation-specific support? If this next import still results in incorrectly attached media, how might I be able to get this resolved?

Also forgot to say thank you! :)

  6. You're welcome!

Yes, this is the right place to ask. :)

I just tried another import and it has imported incorrectly once again. I have only one entry in the media library that has remained attached and I seem to have lost a post. Also my media library seems to contain my imported xml file, which is very odd. Not sure what is going on here. Just used the standard Tools -> Export option on the self-hosted wordpress installation.

  8. Did you receive notice that the import completed successfully?

It won't be done until the email is sent, and deleting the import file from the media library is part of the process.

Got the successful completion email and still only that one attachment. Also have determined that the missing post is one that has a blank title. Is this not allowed for some reason?

  10. This is an odd looking import file.

Was it exported from a WordPress blog, or from something else with a WordPress-compatible exporter?

It's the built-in wordpress export tool. Running wordpress 3.5.1.

  12. Hm, interesting.

Would you like me to try emptying your blog again?

I'd like you to try generating an export file with all plugins disabled, then process the import while they're still disabled.

Sure I can give it a shot.

  14. I have emptied your blog as requested.

Please try again with all plugins disabled and a fresh export file (after disabling the plugins).

Have turned off all plugins and done another round of exporting and importing, but the results are the same... any ideas?

Hi, wondering if something is being worked on here as the blog is empty once again...?

  17. Not that I'm aware of, but it looks like it worked: http://hallmarkspiritclips.wordpress.com/

Strange, it was blank just a bit ago. The issue is that the media files aren't attached to the posts as they were in the original wordpress installation. Have read some other reports of this on the forums and it seemed like it had to be manually resolved on the wordpress.com side.

  19. Sure, we'll see what we can do!

Thanks, I would appreciate it! It seems from some forum searches that others have had issues:

That person seems to be not even on wordpress.com anymore, so it's possible it was never resolved...

  21. I'll let you know if we can do anything.

    Any news?

  23. I have heard that we can do it, now we just need to figure out how to do it. :)

I'll let you know when it's done.

  24. You're all fixed up now, sorry for the delay!

Thank you! Much appreciated! Will this sort of thing be fixed going forward (in case I move any more blogs to wordpress.com)?

  26. Yes, it will be. :)
