Can you help move my subscribers from wordpress.com to a self-hosted site?

  1. Hi! I'd like to move my email subscribers from my wordpress.com site (kitchenpotsandtabletops.wordpress.com) to my self-hosted site (kitchenpotsandtabletops.com). Can you help me?

The blog I need help with is kitchenpotsandtabletops.wordpress.com.

  2. Provided you have installed and activated the JetPack plugin http://jetpack.me on your WordPress.org install, and you post the relevant URL(s) into a forum thread, Staff will do the transfer of both subscribers and stats for you. Do that now please as I have tagged this thread for their attention.

  3. Optionally, on your WordPress.com site from which you’ll want to transfer your followers, post a notice telling your site’s followers that you’ll be moving, and that their subscriptions will be going along with you. This is because, while your email subscribers will continue to receive email notifications of new posts as before, WordPress.com followers will only see new posts in the Reader. They will not receive email updates unless they subscribe to receive those on your new site, which they can do if you’ve added the Subscriptions widget. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/

  4. I have JetPack installed on my self-hosted site. The URL(s) are above. Thanks!

  5. Cool, now all you need is patience. :)

  6. I can do patience. :)

  7. Good :)

  8. Hi there,

OK, you're all set! Your subscribers have all been migrated to your new site. They're taking a little while to show up there, however they should start appearing in your stats soon!

Let me know if you have any issue!

  9. Thank you for your help! They are showing now, and everything looks good.

  10. Excellent! I'm glad it's all working for you.

Hope you have a great rest of your week!
