   We purchased our domain name through WordPress.com but have our new site hosted on Amazon's EC2 service. We currently cannot use the DNS record manager to update the A record for the root site (audiofold.com) to point to our new web site. I have read through all of your documentation, and it looks like you can only use the tools you have available to either update a subdomain or to point to an entirely new hosting provider. Amazon is NOT our domain name provider, and thus we cannot update the NameServers; we have purchased one year of our domain through WordPress.com.

   We simply want to update the main A record on your NameServers to point to our new IP address.

   Can anyone please assist in this? We need to update the root DNS A record, the WordPress store tab in the dashboard does NOT let us update the root record, only add subdomains.

   We really need some help figuring this out, as it looks like there is no other way to contact WordPress.com right now other than this forum.
