WORDPRESS.COM !!!! I WANT TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNT. A 12.00 FEE APPEARED ON CREDIT CARD. I WANT TO CANCEL BUT THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO DO SO AND NO PEOPLE TO TALK TO. THE INSTRUCTIONS AT http://WWW.WP-FEE.COM ARE NO GOOD AND SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM SITE. SIMPLY, CREDIT THE 12.00 FEE PENDING ON MY CREDIT CARD AND CANCEL ACCOUNT.
    REGARDS.

The blog I need help with is freemeanstruth.wordpress.com.

  2. Please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question.

  3. WD, Please stop auto renew and cancel account, (http://lanidrik.wordpress.com).

  4. @lanidrik
You can disable auto-renew in your dashboard. Click "Store" and then click "Domains" and on the page locate the "Disable Auto Renew" link and click it.

Your upgrade subscription will automatically renew every 12 months from the date of your original purchase. WordPress.com will attempt to charge the credit card you used to make your initial upgrade purchase. However, you can cancel automatic renewal at any time prior to your renewal date by visiting the Upgrades section of your blog's Dashboard and clicking Disable Auto-Renew next to the upgrade.

Also note that WordPress.com will notify you three times by email prior to renewing a non-domain upgrade. We'll notify you 90 days and 60 days prior to renewing a domain on your behalf, and attempt to renew the domain 30 days prior to expiration.

What do you mean by "cancel account"?
Which upgrade are you referring to?
Which blog does it apply to?

  8. thanks

  9. You're welcome.

  10. @Culinartz - it looks like the domain you ask about is registered through Godaddy not WordPress.COM - you need to talk with Godaddy about getting your domain renewed - sooner is better as it looks like Godaddy might be holding your name hostage (well in pending or redemption grace period)

  11. ~~auxclass
    Thank goodness for you.

  12. @auxclass
thanks a lot for your reply
but i dont understand why appeas as registred via Godaddy because i registered on inside of WP, under Store --> Domains
and there appear as a domain that is active.

first i make an account-free- in WP: culinartz.wordpress.com on 2010/09/13
aftre i registered inside o WP as: culinartz.com on 2011/07/07
    this appear as :Active
    Renews on july 7, 2012

and also i have active renewal with my CC

culinartz.com is my primary domain maybe i need to set culinartz.wordpress.com as primary

    i dont understand :)

  13. If you are convinced that you registered the domain (as opposed to simply buying domain apping) through WordPress.com, in despite of what auxclass said, contact staff the address given by timethief above.
(Maybe domains appear as "GoDaddy" instead of "Automattic" when they expire)

  14. Thanks @airodyssey -

@culinartz - some of the dates don't seem to match up and us unpaid volunteers in the Forum don't have access to your Dashboard and account to see exactly what is happening and history of your account and domain mapping etc - for that you need help from the staff as referenced above - they can look at the history - I am seeing the domain you are referencing registered to a person in Bangkok.

This thread has also been marked for staff attention.

    Good luck

  15. @auxclass, me also see that was registrered in Bangkok but i'm in Budapest, Hungary
intresting also, that my facebook page of Culinartz was liked yesterday from a person who living in Thailand
i dont know why and how arrive there because my blog was writed in hungarian

yesterday i writed a new post, because i'm able to sing in on admin page, automatically the post was arrived on facebook page and twitter too...

    really i'm worried about......
hope that WP staff found urgently solution

@airodyssey: i contacted the staff yesterday night (European Time) but not yet get answer.... wiating for answer with crossed fingers :)

  16. no reply from WP
    why?
goddady say that i need to contact WP if i registered my domain via WP
they see only that is registered from BKK

WP, please check IP adress, i know that you are able to check it,please confirm to GoDaddy that this domain was registered by myself, is written to and used from Hungary and not from Bankok

please write a reply for my questions
why no reply from online form, wny no reply for my direct e-mail?

please take an end at this nightmare!

    regards

    :((((

  17. Anybody from WP here??????????
    To give some help?

    Last reply from GoDaddy today:

Thank you for your reply. It sounds to me as if you originally registered the domain with WordPress. You will need to find out from them why the domain was not automatically renewed when it expired.

According to the whois database, the domain now belongs to someone else (as you stated, in Bangkok). If you want to purchase the domain, it will need to be from them since they now own the domain. You can either contact them directly yourself, or you can have one of our Domain Buy Agents attempt to acquire it for you. However, we cannot guarantee acquisition of the domain name.

When you purchase our professional Domain Buy Service with your personal Domain Buy Agent, the domain name is automatically sent for a Certified Appraisal. Your personal Domain Buy Agent will contact you within 2 business days of receiving the Certified Appraisal to update you on the progress of contacting the current domain registrant. The Domain Buy Agent will give their best effort to contact current domain registrant over the thirty-day term of the Domain Buy Service contract.

Your personal Domain Buy Agent will also research the viability of acquiring the domain name, including:

    • Check if the domain name is public or private and who the current registrant is, whether the registration is current, if it has been renewed or transferred recently, if it is in redemption, or if it has expired.
    • Check if the domain is already listed for sale by the registrant.
    • Check if the domain is listed through an aftermarket service.

If contact is made with the current domain registrant and they are interested in selling the domain, the Domain Buy Agent will then negotiate with the current domain registrant for the lowest possible price, up to a maximum limit set by you.

    • Any offer made will be valid for 10 business days.
    • You will be unable to cancel the offer during this negotiation period unless you are under consideration of a counter offer by the seller.

If a sale is unsuccessful or if the owner of domain is unreachable, the Domain Buy Agent will notify you. At that time, you can opt to purchase a backorder on the domain name.

You can find more information and purchase our Domain Buy Service at the link below.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

WHY NOBODY REPLY FROM WORDPRESS? NOBODY REPLY ON MY ONLINE FORM, NOBODY REPLY HERE
    JUST WHY? WHY? WHY? WHYYYYY?!

  18. We replied to your email thirty minutes after you sent it. Here's the reply:

The domain name culinartz.com is registered through GoDaddy, not with us. You have a Domain Mapping upgrade four this domain to map it to the blog http://culinartz.wordpress.com/ but for this to work you need to change the DNS servers for your domain name over at GoDaddy to

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  19. @macmanx

thanks for your reply. i'm really sorry because not yet arrived on my e-mail.

do you are able to check a transaction paid with credit card:
    ARK.001471065728

another domain i buyed this way too, hope not happen as with culinartz.com

please check the transaction, to see for wath was paid the amount

    regards,
    e.

  20. Yes, culinartz.com is the domain mentioned about that was registered with GoDaddy, not us.

ARK.001471065728 does not match the form that we use for our transaction IDs.

You really need to contact GoDaddy about this. You just have a domain mapping subscription with use, we are not your domain registrar.

  21. @macmanx
    thanks a lot

i'll ask my bank to say the thru transaction ID.
If you see inside that culinartz.com was mapped on culinartz.wordpress.com could you or possible to contact GoDaddy in matter?

I dont know why GoDaddy say that they dont see any registration from me, but ( i think you understand me when i ask, if not was mine how i was able to use it?) was aviable for me to map it, to use it.

now whit dot net have some difficoulty due of google links, if people are searching and finde on google they finde dotcom pages

hope that a day i'll able to finde solution and get back my dotcom

and if you have some possibility to contact GoDaddy i would be more than happy if you can help me

    regards,e.

  22. @culinartz: Friendly suggestion... why not contacting GoDaddy yourself and showing them a link to this forum thread if needed?
