Cancel domain registration and hosting on WordPress

  1. Hi,

    I purchased webchirps.com on the night of Jan 24 and it's being hosted by WP. I contacted wordpress support yesterday to cancel and refund my money. I haven't heard from them. I want this matter resolved before the 48 hours are up (which is tonight)!!

  2. Check your spam filter - many messages from the Staff get stuck in there.

    The Staff has a real good record of providing service. If you got your request in before the 48 hours you should be fine. Give them 24 hours from the time you originally contacted them and then contact them again if you have not heard from them, use your dashboard to contact them or: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

    May I also suggest that you check your email spam filter as you may find your reply from Staff is in it?

  5. Hi , I just wanted to confirm this . To cancel out wordpress.com account we have to just send a mail to http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ right ?

    Do we need to do anything else ?
    Would appreciate a quick turnaround.

  6. That should do it - you should be logged in to the account that you want the refund for (otherwise I could cancel your upgrade) - once in a while the Staff will have a question or two to make sure that they understand what you need done and that you are the proper person to make that request.

  7. Ok , I am sure I was logged on because when I click on the link , it automatically populated my name and Email ID.

    I had one more question , Will only the hosting money be returned or the domain money will also be returned.

    *Note:My request is to cancel my Domain and hosting both.

  9. hi Thanks for the tip , I have applied for the deletion for my domain.
    I am guessing it should be available within 2 days to be bought again by someone.

  10. If you cancel your domain within the two-day refund period, it'll take about five days for it to be returned to the open market. Unfortunately, we have absolutely no control over that.
