Cannot Change Number of Lines In Post Box

  1. When I go to the writing settings, I can no longer change the size of my post box as of November 27 or 28, 2012. The "size of the post box" feature in the writing settings, as currently seen in http://codex.wordpress.org/Settings_Writing_Screen , is no longer visible to me. Why has WordPress done this? Am I forever forced to scroll to see even the slightest bit of context in my posts?

The blog I need help with is againstjebelallawz.wordpress.com.

  2. That setting disappeared while ago. I found another unanswered thread here:

I believe you can sort this though. Move your mouse to the lower right hand corner of the text box (you will see two diagonal lines). Your mouse should change to the Resize pointer (double arrows). Click and drag and you can re-size the box to whatever size you like.

  3. Thanks!

  4. You're welcome.

  5. Apparently, that resizing of the box is temporary. After clicking and dragging, now my text box resizes to only one line in height whenever I load a new draft. Needless to say, this is quite irksome.

Is there any way to bring back the old configurable text-box line-length in Settings -> Writing?

  6. Hi @Mushyrulez, could you create a new post for your issue? I'm not able to duplicate the problem, so you may need to provide some additional information.

    Thanks!
