Cannot deactivate the upcoming charges of the trial Premium account.

  1. I have a trial version of the premium account and I want to deactivate it before the 3rd of March when it will bill my card. How do I do that?

    I delete the blog, but the upcoming charges keep coming

    @sarahshing - I have removed the upgrade on my end, so you should receive no more email notifications regarding that.

  6. @jerrysarcastic- assuming then that the OP (fdm2014) also had their upgrade removed. :)

    Going forward, should we forum volunteers then tag every such thread for Staff assistance? Is there no way that users can directly remove the trial from their account without Staff involvement?

    @justjennifer - regarding anyone that had a free trial upgrade, yes please tag. As it's a fairly new program we are trying out, we want to be sure to catch any issues, especially if someone wants to cancel before they are charged.

    Users should be able to cancel the trial on their own, however, so those kinds of issues will hopefully continue to be rare.

  8. I also have the 2 week free trial. I deleted my site so does that mean my card won't be charged after it's up correct? Please let me know as soon as possible so I can avoid being charged! I will be charged on the the 15th of march.

  10. On my billing history it still says, " upcoming payment on March 15, 2014." After I deleted the site.

    Deleting your site does not remove the upgrade from your account, but I have done that on your behalf, so nothing to worry about. :)

  13. @jerrysarcastic . Hello, you said you removed the upgrade on my account but I checked my bank account this morning and I am missing exactl $99.00. And I have not used m debit card in the last 3 days. Can you double check for me and make sure that they did not charge me because I'm pretty sure they did. If so how do I get my refund.

    Hi there,

    Sorry about the confusion! I have voided the transaction and it should not be processed - I believe it should be a pending transaction.

    Please let me know if it ends up actually processing. It should disappear from your pending transactions within a couple days.

  15. So even though my $99.00 is gone it should be back in a couple days because you voided the transaction correct?

  16. The money shouldn't have left your account. Can you please check with your bank to see if it was taken out? Also, let me know if you have any other accounts with us.

  17. Hello, I've just bought premium account. It was said I could deactivate upcomming billing on my own at any time, but I can't find where exactly I can deactivate this option in my account settings. How can I deal with this problem?

  19. Hi there, this issue is still occurring. I am also trialing the Word Press Premium product. I have tried to cancel through the Dashboard over the last 2 days and no email to confirm the change nor any change in my Dashboard.
    I have sent a message to staff but would appreciate not having to cancel my credit cards as it looks like this is the only way to stop the charge. SeaBikeSki

  20. I have the same problem. I bought premium account and yesterday cancelled theme and got the confirmation on mail, but also I tried to cancel and refund Premium WordPress but there is no reaction. How can I do this thing?

    Did you check the email account that is associated with your account? Please also check the spam/junk folder as our emails sometimes end up in there.

    1) You can cancel the domain completely and WordPress.com Premium completely (which means you will no longer own the domain - also note that it can take awhile for the registrar to release it so it won't be available for repurchase right away elsewhere. In fact it could be sold to someone else.) This would entail a full $99 refund.

    3. Or if you want to keep the domain, I can cancel the rest of the Bundle and you can just pay for the domain $26/year (with private registration) or $18 (without private registration) - so this would entail a $73 refund or $81 refund depending on the private registration.

    Let me know how you would like to proceed.

  26. Please cancel everything. I would prefer not to be charged on my credit card and then have to wait for a refund. Is there a way you can do this?

  29. I am having the same issue. I would like to cancel my trial but cannot find any link or other mechanism to do so. My Account lists upcoming charges for April 3 2014.
