   I changed my theme and tried to delete a header image that did not load properly.

   Now I cannot delete or edit the image,nor can I use it for my blog.

   Why can't we delete these images?

   I've tried loading it and deleting it in the widget and it doesn't work.

   I've also looked in the knowledge database and cannot find any information on this problem.

   You should manage a custom header image from the Appearance → Headers page, not the media library. Is that what you were doing?

   If you want to edit a header image, you should edit it locally on your computer an then re-upload it to the Appearance → Headers page.
