I have been unable to log into my other blog http://anewwayoflife08.wordpress.com/ since yesterday, but never receive a password reset email when I request one (I've tried repeatedly).
I know that I'm checking the correct email account, as I've received requests to moderate comments this morning.
Any suggestions?
This may seem obvious, but just in case: Have you checked your email account's spam folder?
You may also try searching your email account for "[WordPress.com] Password Reset" in case the email has been automatically archived, or put into a different folder...
In case that doesn't work, are you entering the email address or your username in the password reset form field?
Thanks for the reply. There's definitely nothing archived or anything in the spam folder.
Entering my email address sends a reset email for an older, unused blog - the one I'm signed in on now. Entering my username (for the blog I can't get into and need to have reset) seemingly produces nothing.
Again, I'd like to stress that the blog I need re-setting is definitely using the address I'm checking (as I had comment moderation requests only today) and that I definitely haven't had a reset email for it, in my spam folder or anywhere else.

Have you tried logging out completely and submitting the lost password request from http://anewwayoflife08.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ ?
Yup, that's where I was trying from. I just tried again just in case, and I still haven't received anything.
Is this blog not registered under the user helenlowe2007? You should not be able to have the same email address for multiple accounts.

Both accounts have sent emails to this address today - the password resets for Helenlowe2007 (which only has one blog on it, and it's not anewwayoflife08), and the comment moderation requests for anewwayoflife08.
I doubt this is the case, but just to be sure: With many email providers you can add +something to the end of your email address (e.g. [email redacted]) and no matter what tag is added the email address is still the same (all go to [email redacted]). Also if you have a dot in your email name (e.g. [email redacted]) you can also use the same name without the dot ([email redacted]) and receive mail at the same address. Is there any chance there is some small difference in the two email addresses?
Another possibility is that you have more than one email account (like [email redacted] and [email redacted]) and one is forwarding to the other. Check the headers of the emails being sent relating to the blog you are unable to access and perhaps you will find there is in fact a different address being used.
I can not think of any other way you could be getting the messages from two blogs registered under two separate WordPress.com accounts at the moment.

None of those things are the case.
As a little experiment, I just went and changed the email address of the Helenlowe2007 account, and then tried a password reset using the initial email address. It now says that this email address is not registered with WordPress at all.
Nevertheless, I received comment moderation emails to it, this very morning, for anewwayoflife08.
I've just (I mean just now) had another comment moderation request email, to that same address.
Requesting a password reset for it tells me that it isn't registered.
The WordPress system does not allow two accounts to use the same address, it is extremely unlikely that WordPress would send emails for two different WordPress accounts at the same email address at any time.
Did you check the email headers to make sure that you're not getting the email to the address through a forward or because of another nuance which I mentioned?
It's definitely not a forward.
Ignore that matter, though, it's not actually important as far as this goes - I've altered the email address attached to the account I'm typing on now. As of <bold>right now</bold> the anewwayoflife08 blog is now the only one using the email address in question and it's sending comment moderation requests there, but when I ask for a password reset I get the "this email address is not registered with WordPress" message.
That is the actual problem I'm having.
Any chance of any Staff help?
What I am saying is that the issue is most likely due to a misunderstanding of where the email is being sent to, since WordPress does not allow having two accounts at the same address (this is not just a rule).
Try creating a new account with the same address and you will see what I am talking about.
OK, fair enough.
These things, however, are definitely the case:
1) The email address is not receiving things via any forwards, and no +anythings have been used.
2) I am receiving my comment moderation emails to this address.
3) I cannot log in to my blog, and when I request a password reset it tells me that the above email address is not registered.

I will flag the staff to look over this thread though I would like to hear that you at least checked the headers of the comment moderation email and double checked that the email address isn't in some way different.
I will confirm these things again, then:
No, they have not been forwarded from another account and the address is not in any way different.
The comment emails are from [email redacted] and they have been sent to exactly the account that will not (when entered) allow a password reset.
(With the redacted address there being the WordPress.com 'donotreply' address,obviously).
Password resets are sent to the account email address set at Users -> Personal Settings in your Dashboard, which may be different than comment notifications, which go to the blog's email address set at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.
The email address for anewwayoflife08 was definitely set incorrectly, as the user entered an @wordpress.com email address, and we don't have @wordpress.com email addresses.
Do you have access to the account's API Key? Without that, we won't be able to restore access to the account.
Well, I have absolutely no idea how (or when) I managed to put an @wordpress address in there without meaning to.
Sadly I don't still have the API key, so I suppose that's about it.
