Cannot log in on www.erfworld.com/wp-login.php

  1. I had no trouble signing in here, on support, but when I try to log in on http://www.erfworld.com/wp-login.php to comment on Erfworld (I made a WordPress username & password for this express purpose) -- I get "ERROR: Invalid username. Lost your password?"

Any idea what I'm doing wrong, or know how to set up a username & password specifically for that site? A username & password that can only sign in on WordPress's home website seems much less useful.

  2. You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.

This support forum is for WordPress.com hosted blogs only. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums, not here.

If you don't understand the difference, you may find this information helpful.

  3. I am succesfully logged in over there, but there is no obvious/visible way to add a new query...

Part of the issue is that it's not *my* website that I'm trying to comment on... and wordpress.org and wordpress.com are both near-impossible to navigate (I have better luck finding subpages on Google) -- so I feel as though I'm on a wild goose chase trying to find a way to create a username that the log-in will accept.

  4. Since erfworld.com is self-hosted that blog has no connection to the wordpress.COM free hosting service, nor with the wordpress.ORG site.

It is standalone and completely on its own. You have to sign up directly on that site.
