I cannot renew my domain in upgrades because it has been more than the allowable number of days beyond the extension, but WordPress also won't let me purchase the domain. I get the message that the domain I am trying to purchase is already associated with a wordpress account...duh, mine. I've checked GoDaddy and the domain is available. What do I need to do?

lifesimplypictured.com expired in April and was returned to the public market.
You can register it again by adding it via Store -> Domains in your blog's Dashboard.
Hi Mac. For some reason the updates aren't coming to my e-mail for this thread. I have been trying what you said and it does not work. I get this message: " This domain has already been mapped to a WordPress.com blog" which I posted on the thread you closed to new replies. Thoughts?
