Can't add a line-break in my posts!

  1. Hi there,

I want to add some extra space before and after a heading for easier reading in my posts. Odd thing happens then : I insert
the html-code 'line-break' (br /) but after updating the post the html-code 'line-break' (br /) always disappears!
Swoosh : gone! No extra space ... It's driving me crazy.

Is there someone who can help. How to use the html-code 'line-break' (br /) or is there another way to add an extra blank space in posts? Or is this problem theme-related?

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Rudy

The blog I need help with is wwwwerkplezierbe.com.

  2. If you are formatting either text or poetry from within the Tiny MCE editor in your WordPress blog here is a link to summary of some handy tips. WordPress Formatting and Spacing

If you are working in the Visual editor, to get single spacing between paragraphs hold the SHIFT key down and simultaneously click ENTER at the end of the paragraph. If you are working in the HTML editor, a single click of ENTER will give you a single-spaced line, and two clicks of ENTER will result in double spaced lines.

  3. Hoi timethief,

Thanks for helping, but no can do ...
After inserting SHIFT ENTER or ENTER the visual editor (HTML) also shows the space (as much as wanted :-) ... but ... after updating or saving ... all spaces are gone!
    Terrible!
    Can it be theme-related?

    Bye
    Rudy

  4. We do not know which theme you are using or even which blog you are referring to. This is the result of clicking your username:

    werk4plezier.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this blog.

Please provide an active link to the blog in question starting with http://
Better still please link the active blog to your username. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary WordPress.com blog and then save changes.

Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

  5. Ok!
    Settings updated!

    Bye, Rudy
