Can't add html (iframe) code in text box widget

    I'm trying to add a facebook feed onto my blog page. I'm using the very helpful instructions that have been posted here. http://www.designscollage.com/2010/06/how-to-add-a-facebook-fan-box-to-your-wordpress-blog/#comment-892

    Everything works fine until I try to post the <iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/likebox.php? "bunch of other code" </iframe> code into the text box widget.
    As soon as I hit the SAVE button, the html just gets deleted. I've tried this in both Chrome and IE as I've seen some forms issues with Chrome before.

    Any ideas?

    The blog I need help with is homeenergytest.wordpress.com.

    We cannot use iframes on wordpress.com blogs. The software strips the code out to preserve security on this multi-user blogging platform See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

    We can use > http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/
    and we can use > the RSS widget to display entries from any RSS feed.> http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/rss-widget/

    Note that almost all instructions you find on the interent are for for wordpress.ORG installs and do not apply to free blogs being free hosted by wordpress.COM on this multi-user blogging platform. Unless you see "wordpress.COM" then do not rely on such instructions at all. The instructions you posted the link for are for wordpress.ORG installs. Our software is different.     Hi,
    I'm following the instructions under option #1 and I'm meant to put in my RSS feed from wordpress. Where do I get that?

    Every wordpress.com blog has two RSS feeds.
    This one is for your posts (entries)> http://garent.wordpress.com/feed/
    This on is for your comments > http://garent.wordpress.com/comments/feed/

    It appears that the feed "kinda" worked.
    It pulled in a comment, that I didn't make, which was auto-generated when the wordpress account was setup.

    To delete a comment, just log in, and view the posts’ comments, there you will have the option to edit or delete them.

    That came through to FB, but none of the posts I've made since. I'm guessing there is some sort of "publish to RSS" push that needs to occur?

    So.... I think I have it working, not sure but I'm so glad you were able to help. THANKS THANKS THANKS!!!

    It appears that I run things from my blog, it then updates FB, which sends out a tweet, which will then appear on my blog. I'll probably have to delete the Twitter hook as everything I blog about would appear as a tweet and I'm not sure I want that to occur.

    I use these bookmarks http://getsocialive.com and place them at the end of my posts. Once the posts are published Twitter and Facebook are automatically updated if you use those bookmarks.
