can't change blog domain, name is reserved by me, won't let me change domain

    When I signed up - WP put in the words dot com at the end of my blog domain. I tried to make a new one, but it made them blogdotcom1.wordpress.com - when I try to switch the domains - I get the name is reserved and can't be used. I 'have the name' and have tried to switch from general and settings to no avail....seems simple but I can't get it to work.
    I want it to be milesonwheels.wordpress.com

    What am I doing wrong?

    When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username.
