can’t get rid of CSS code… (??)
-
http://mayablogger.wordpress.com/
I keep removing this line in my CSS:
#content .post-info { background:url(img/underline1.jpg) no-repeat left bottom; padding-bottom:12px; }but still, little underline-img keeps appearing at bottom of every entry… (“posted in….” right underneath main content for post..)
when I look @ that element in FF Firebug it shows this CSS code
#content .post-info { background:url(img/underline1.jpg) no-repeat left bottom; padding-bottom:12px; }
that I have REMOVED from stylesheet, even when I search for it in CSS-edit section I can’t find it, but when I look @ element in FF firebug it shows this CSS that I removed code for that element
when I view src code for my blog I see url to CSS thus:
http://s0.wp.com/wp-content/themes/pub/mistylook/style.css?m=1261466161gin THIS url I do see
#content .post-info{background:url(img/underline1.jpg) no-repeat left bottom;padding-bottom:12px;}WHY IS THERE when I removed it??????
thank you..

I can’t help but the volunteer who does help with CSS editing suggests those reading this when he helps people. http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/if-you-have-the-wp-com-css-upgrade/

thank you..
I know CSS very very well, this is NOT a CSS question…..;-)
whether I paste entire stylesheet into CSS editor or just remove the line of code in question, the problem persists.. line of code I have removed does NOT get removed.. WHY is this happening.. I just looked again, code is still there.. after I have removed it a no. of times.. this doesn’t make any sense at all..
thank you..

once again:
if I look in CSS editor this line, which I have removed,
#content .post-info { background:url(img/underline1.jpg) no-repeat left bottom; padding-bottom:12px; }
is not there….
but if you look at actual stylesheet in this url,
http://s0.wp.com/wp-content/themes/pub/mistylook/style.css?m=1261466161g
you will see it’s there..
search for“background:url(img/underline1.jpg)”
you will see it’s there…
you tell me, if this makes any sense..
and HOW can I get rid of this line?
thank you..

Hmmm … this sounds like a contact Staff situation to me http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

No need to contact support.
The article Timethief linked you to should’ve help you solved the problem. By “removing” the property in the custom CSS, you’re not overriding the current definition, because the original definition kicks in; therefore, you need to override the rule.
This should get rid of the line
.post-info {background: none;}
