can't insert image using small screen netbook

  1. I can no longer insert images into a post using my Asus Eee PC netbook with the 10-inch screen. The images upload just fine, but when I try to insert them, the editor goes out to lunch and doesn't come back. I have tried both uploaders; same thing.

In the last few days I have noticed the display is slightly different too, sort of flattened, when viewed with the smaller screen device. No problem, since the buttons still work, even if they don't look like buttons any more, and the page is much easier to edit, since it doesn't overlap with the buttons any more and I can see the whole screen. Oddly enough, when I upload an image, it now gives me the "are you sure you want to navigate away from this page" message every time, even if I have just saved a draft.

None of this happens on my other laptop.

The blog I need help with is camelsnose.wordpress.com.

  2. What OS and browser are you using on your netbook?

  3. FWIW-I just tried uploading and inserting an image using my netbook using Win7 and Chrome and in my case it was no different than using my desktop on XP and Chrome.

BTW-If you find that you don't have enough screen real estate on your Dashboard when using your netbook, you can always minimize the Dashboard menu on the left to a single row of icons. I find this very helpful. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menu/

  4. XP/Firefox.

IE won't insert an image from the library either, but will insert one at the time it is uploaded.

I installed Chrome and it was able to insert an image from library.

Nice trick with the menu icons, thanks.
