Can't post!

  1. Can't post. Says unknown_blog
    Blog url: http://romanticpicks.wordpress.com/

  2. When using http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ make sure that you select a blog from the drop-down menu to the left of the "Publish Post" button.

  3. Now I can post but my picture isn't showing up

  4. What is the URL of the post that should be displaying an image?

  5. I link back to a sells link, usually Amazon. It's a book blog. I've already posted 350 post and it hasn't been an issue until now. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

  6. Ok, but what is the URL of the post that should be displaying an image?

  7. I haven't been able to post for the last three days. Once I click on Publish, it appears to be loading but nothing happens no matter how long I wait. Am I doing something wrong?

  8. I don't know and getting help is extremely difficult here. I just want to know what I'm doing wrong and how to correct it. I don't understand why I've been posting one way for a while and all of a sudden it won't let me post that way again.

I just want to know how to get my pictures to show up on my main page. Please...someone help me. Or tell me where to go.

  9. Hi there,

There's an issue with creating posts on the front page of WordPress.com that will not be fixed until the next upgrade. Do not create posts here > http://wordpress.com/#!/post/

Instead I recommend that you ONLY create posts here > Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New

If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

If you are, please do these four things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

If you are not successful let us know which browser (and version of it) you’re using and post any error reports you get.

  10. romanticpicks, that's your blog URL. I need to know the URL of the post you made that is not display the image, as you described earlier.

  11. The images are bookcovers all linked to their Amazon sales pages and I can clearly see them using FF16.0.1, IW8, and Chrome 22.

  12. "IW8," was meant to be IE8 (sorry. I'm having a bad vision day)

  13. But they aren't being displayed on the home page like before.

  14. Click the link to the theme name in the footer of your blog and arrive here and read the theme description http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/sunspot/

    Front Page Layout Options
How would you like to display the posts on your front page? You can stick with the traditional one column layout, which displays your posts one after the other, with full post content. Or you can choose a two-column display, which arranges your posts into a grid-like structure with post excerpts and Featured Image thumbnails.
Head over to Appearance → Theme Options to make a selection for your front page layout.

  15. Other Featured Images http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#other-featured-images
    Sunspot
Featured image thumbnails are displayed on the double-column front page layout. With the right sidebar active, the thumbnails are: 260 wide x 160 high. If the right sidebar is not active, the thumbnails are 367 x 160.

Do you get what the problem is now?

  16. I've got the picture half back. Have to figure out what's going on and what happened. It didn't use to be like this and I haven't done anything to the settings . Thanks for all the suggestions.
