I can't re-size my pictures. I'm using URL links to my picasaweb galleries, trying to re-size to make the pictures smaller, but it's not doing it suddenly. Is this no longer supported? Not very good if this is a re-design. You lose all control.

How have you been resizing them until now?
As far as I know, resizing images inserted by URL has never really worked.
Please paste the URL of your blog when asking questions here. Or (better for you) make your username link to your blog (Users > Personal Settings: scroll down to Account Details, paste blog URL in the Website field, click Save Changes).
Hm, are you talking about http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/image-settings/#drag-size ? If so, you are correct and it appears that the option to drag image corners to resize does not exist any longer.
However, when you click on the image in the Editor, you should see two buttons. Click on the Edit Image button and you can resize the image by percentage. Click on the Advanced tab and you should be able to enter pixel dimensions.
Adding to the confusion, resizing an image inserted by URL also seems to be theme dependent. In my test blog using Misty Look, the "resized" image showed in the preview, but not in the actual post. Switching to Coraline, the image correctly resized in the post.
@Jen: It's not theme dependent, it's bug dependent. Bug introduced to MistyLook along with infinite scrolling. See updates at the bottom of this post:

OK, but regardless, the OP's site http://cijblog.wordpress.com/ (if that is the one they are having trouble with) is using Coraline, which should work.
It's exactly as JustJennifer says.

It looks in the wisywig editing box that it's working, but it doesn't preview, or update the way it looks.

To be more specific: What now doesn't work is
-clicking on the picture you want to resize
-choosing 80, 70 60 or 50% of the original size
-update
As I say, it looks like it's working in the editing box, but doesn't preview or update that way. The way it did until a few days ago, I might add (using a URL). I might add that using advanced and typing in the dimensions also doesn't work. It's correct in the edit box, but doesn't update. This also worked before, but I used it rarely, so don't know when it "went missing"
To scale down your images now that WP messed things up, you can switch the editor to HTML and turn these:
<img ETC ETC
to this type of code:
<img style="width:190px;" ETC ETC
But uploading images to your blog is better than inserting images stored elsewhere.
@cijblog-Well, there you have the importance of linking to the site you need help with if it isn't linked to your username (unless it is a mature site). It was just serendipity that it turned out that the site you needed help with is using Misty Look. :)
Regardless, give justpi's advice a whirl until Staff gets around to fixing the bug he mentioned above following the introduction of infinite scrolling to Misty Look.
