Can't see followers or email subscribers

  1. I can't see my followers or email subscribers.

When on the stats page I cannot see followers. When I click on the "blog" link under the followers section, where it shows 15 followers, it give me a page error at the bottom of the page.

Once, I was able to accidentally see them. Something at the top of the window about the site certificate not being valid and I allowed it anyway. Then I saw the list but couldn't click into the email subscribers to see them. I haven't seen that or been able to get in since.

Also, I would like to be able to see a list of emails that have subscribed and in the future be able to send a newsletter to my email list. How do I see them and how would I do that?

The blog I need help with is talktotheshoe.com.

  2. First, you can't see the email addresses of your followers (subscribers). You can see email addresses of people who have commented in your blog but they shouldn't be used for sending newsletters unless you first have each person's prior permission. Email addresses are used here mostly to make sure that the person commenting isn't a spammer.

What I would suggest is that you put a contact form on your blog, on a page of its own and on that page ask anyone who would like to receive a newsletter from you, to contact you. Here's how to do that:

As for the error messages, it might be to do with some glitches that are happening currently on WordPress.com (have a look at the other forum posts and you'll see a lot of them) or it might be to do with your browser. So, to rule out the latter, first clear your cache and then log back into your account. If that doesn't change anything, have a look at your browser. Is it up to date? If not, get the latest version. If you're using Firefox and you have add ons, try disabling them all then if that's made a difference, enable them one by one to discover which was the culprit.

If those don't help, come back and ask again. By the way, like most people answering questions here, I'm a volunteer, and one of the other volunteers might pick up this thread and be able to help you more.

Which browser and version of it you are using? If you’re using Internet Explorer, you may receive warnings as you navigate around your admin with HTTPS enabled. To disable those, follow this process: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/#frequently-asked-questions
