Cant see multiple posts on my home page (Imbalance 2 theme)

  1. Hi, I changed to Imbalance 2 theme recently. I'm unable to see multiple posts on my home page and have to click 'Load More' to see next item. I have visited various other Imbalance 2 Theme blogs which show all posts on the home page. I want to show all the post by default without clicking 'load more' option. Could you please help me out in this regard? Thanks in advance.

  2. Staff have been introducing “infinite scroll" to themes — a site wide change that will be applied to all themes that are suitable for the implementation. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/to-infinity?replies=137

Disabling the infinite scroll feature to get rid of the pop-up in the footer results in a "Load More Posts" tab, and you can't disable that "Load More Posts" tab from appearing without the Custom Design upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/

  3. Hi

    Thanks for your quick response.

Do you mean to say that 'Infinite Scroll' is the reason for showing the archives in the home page. The other blogs which are using the same theme are showing more than a single post where as mine it shows just one, the recent post.

    For ex :

    and my blog :

    http://mewithoutwax.wordpress.com/

    thanks !

  4. This blog http://thepatternedplate.wordpress.com/ is CSS customized theme. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/

re: Imbalance 2 note these apply to the version of the theme adapted to run on our WordPress.com software:

Imbalance 2 offers two layout options, fluid and fixed.
Fluid means the width changes according to screen resolution (or the width of browser) your visitors use.
Fixed means the width does not change according to screen resolution (or the width of browser) your visitors use.

Column one is the blog title and tagline; you edit them in Settings > General.
Columns two and three are for two menus; you create and load them in Appearance > Menus - instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
Column four is for widgets; you add them in Appearance > Widgets.

  5. hi

Thanks a lot for the reply.
Does that mean I should upgrade (buy) to meet my requirement or just changing the CSS is enough ?

  6. How many posts have you se to display here > Settings > Reading?

  7. OMG....Thanks a lot.
Thats the culprit. I have changed it for my prev theme and forgot all about that.
    Thanks a lot.

Im very happy & lemme know if your amazon wish list. ;-)

Note that the "load more posts" on Imbalance2 is part of the design of this theme.

I can see 7 posts on your homepage. I also use Imbalance2 and your site appears to be working as it should. You can specify more posts to display on the front page if you like: I have 12 showing.

You can also use custom excerpts to decide which part of your posts you want to appear.

If you are not seeing more than one post on your home page (or on archive and category pages), then perhaps you are having browser issues:

  9. Ooops, sorry, I walked away for a while and didn't refresh before hitting submit…

  10. hi tess

    thank you.
even that particular problem is fixed.
im still on building my blog.....!!
