Can't update or save posts

    I've been a happy WordPress customer for over two years, but a recent problem is really making it frustrating to use. Sometimes, when I want to save a post I've just written, or update an old one, WordPress hangs and won't update, meaning I have to lose my post (saving the text elsewhere, of course) or leave it as it is. The screen doesn't lock, but the post won't save. I've tried the same posts with different browsers (Firefox, Explorer, Chrome), but it's always the same.

    Does anybody recognise this problem? Is it likely that I've made a change somewhere that is causing it?

    My only suggestion is to log out of wordpress, clear the browser cache and cookies, restart the browser and then try again. I've not seen this issue on my Mac in Opera, Safari, Flock or Firefox. There was an update here a couple weeks ago that had a lot of bugs, but most of those appear to have been exterminated.

    Also, try rebooting your internet modem.

    Try this also: before you hit Publish or Save, select everything in the Write Post box, and Copy it. Then, while it's still highlighted, hit Publish. I had a similar problem with IE6 years ago and this forced it to go through okay. If it doesn't, at least you've got a copy on your clipboard and can just copy/paste a new post.
