Can't update profile or change password.

    So I've been trying to change a few small things with my profile, particularly the log-in password I use (instead of the auto-generated one) and the nickname.

    I'll start out on http://wordpress.com/ , already logged in.
    From there, I'll go to the "My Account" pulldown menu in the upper left-hand corner and select "edit profile."
    When I click that, it takes me to http://baronboombox.wordpress.com/wp-admin/profile.php
    I'll change my nickname, put in my new password, and then I'll click "Update Profile" at the bottom of the screen.
    From there, it takes me to http://baronboombox.wordpress.com/wp-admin/profile.php. Yes, that's the same URL. For some reason, it'll take me to a completely blank (white) page, and it will not have updated my profile, or done anything for that matter.

    I've tried switching from Safari to Firefox to see if I was having an issue with my browser, but that wasn't the case. Then I tried doing it on a different computer, but that didn't fix it either.

    What's going on?

    The profile info only shows up on the theme supposedly clean:

    "“About author” is a real rarity: it displays the Biographical Info you may have filled in in your Profile page. (Ιf you’ve put nothing there, you get the message “the author does not say much about himself” in the sidebar.)"

    You can put your profile info into a text widget on your sidebar.

    I'm having the same problem on my blog http://yummyfavours.wordpress.com/

    I want to change the author from yummyfavours to Andy.

    I know the process for this - as described above by samwisezack but when I click "update profile" - I get a blank page that states: http://yummyfavours.wordpress.com/wp-admin/profile.php

    Then nothing happens. Like Sam, I've tried using Firefox and explorer but no luck.

    Ideas?

    Same problem, same link: http://qchu.wordpress.com/

    All I'm trying to do is get my name to link to my blog (which I believe is "Homepage" in my profile), and I'm using Firefox, so I don't think it's a browser issue.

    Same problem here. I tried to update my email address. Everything always goes to that blank white page and nothing gets updated. Any help? Thanks. AC

    I have the same problem. Profile does not update, goes to blank page, nothing happens.

    If it helps, my browser give the following error message on loading the Profile page...

    try clearing your browser cache and contact support so they're aware of the issue, there seems to be something going on with the edit profile page.

    I contacted support and they said that I had a bug with my account, and that I should try it again. It's fixed now! If you're having the same problem, contact support and they'll fix it right up for you.
