   Hi there, I am helping a friend with their blog, and when they post images with a caption, it looks fine in the visual edit post view, however, in preview or when live there is no caption, but just a load of code around the image. It looks like this:
   [caption id="attachment_807" align="alignleft" width="266" caption="test"]test (Image is displayed between these parts of the code)[/caption]

   Could somebody please help us work out why this is happening? They have recently installed a new theme (although I'm not sure which one) and have also installed the Smush it plugin. Could this be causing the problem?

   Hi again, I just wanted to update that it would seem no shortcode is working (tried using [Youtube=] and it will not show the video, just the code)

   - in other words, short code is not being turned into HTML but just remaining as code on the preview and published blog.

   Again, any help you can offer would be gratefully received. Thank you :)

   You are posting to thw wrong support forum. There is no FTP acces to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we cannot sintall plugins. Also our WordPress.com dicumentation is not for you. The codex is for self hosting WordPress.org bloggers and they must post to http://wordpress.org/support/
