Categories are compiled on my Home page

  1. I have a lot of categories and as I update posts in the categories they also appear on the first page on my Blog. (Named as Blog)
Changing Themes also makes no change and I can't see it in the pages so that I can delete it. I want to have some other text on the Home page

I need help with the blog:
    http://gyanswan.wordpress.com

The blog I need help with is gyanswan.wordpress.com.

  2. Create a static front page for your site, and if you wish, a normal page for your posts.

  3. I tried that too but the page I made was coming at the last. And I wasn't able to order it to the second as I need the Contact Page at the Last.

And then, can't I delete that Page (Blog) as I have seen Other Blogs with categories but their posts are not compiled on any page.

  4. Create a custom menu for your site and you can drag and drop the menu items into any order you want. Your categories are currently showing in your sidebar under "Pick your Jewel" (the category widget). The main page of your site, is not a "page" as such. It is dynamically created on the fly as requested by visitor's browsers by the wordpress software.
