Categories vs. Tags

    Good morning, all!

    My question has to do with categories and tags. I'm not sure what the difference between the two is. I think it's that categories are for the public, but tags are for personal usage. Is that right?

    (If there's another post somewhere about this, forgive me; I didn't see anything addressing this particular issue.)
