   Hey guys,

   I want to change my categories and archive pages to show title and excerpt, instead of the whole article. Anyone can help me out on how to change that?

   I know I would have to edit WP file, rather than theme.

   Then you are in the wrong forum. This forum is for blogs hosted at wordpress.COM and we use different software here. Head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/
