Categories/Pages?

  1. I am desperate to get my blog up and running but I seem to keep hitting the same wall. I cannot for the life of me seem to categorize my posts, and have them show up under the correct pages on my site. For instance, I have a "Beauty" link at the top of my blog, in hopes that every post I make that is related to the category of "Beauty" will automatically be filed there. I have created both a beauty category, and a beauty page but every time I make a test-post, it simply refuses to go under the category at the top of my site! Am I doing something wrong?? So frustrating! Thank you in advance for your help, I truly appreciate it. I have wanted to start blogging in my spare time and finally decided wordpress was the best site for me, but I'm literally am ready to just give up based on this problem!

The blog I need help with is missblodge.wordpress.com.

  2. Delete those static pages you made; they are useless. Category pages are created automatically when you use a category in your post.

The posts that you categorized health/fitness appear on that category page just fine. http://missblodge.wordpress.com/category/uncategorized/healthfitness/ There it is.

You need to make a custom menu and include the proper category links. I would suggest editing your categories first, as there is simply no reason to make any category a subcategory of Uncategorized.

  3. Thank you SO much! I was going crazy trying to figure it out! Thanks for taking to time to help out, I appreciate it! :)
